Asociația easyECO, înființată în 2006, își propune, prin intermediul celor trei direcții principale, Educație, Comunități, Oportunități, să faciliteze accesul la educație formală și non-formală și să susțină drepturile comunităților dezavantajate și minorităților, prin crearea unor oportunități reale de integrare și dezvoltare și prin conștientizarea problematicii acestora de către societate, instituții și alți factori de decizie.
În urma reorganizării juridice a organizației la începutul anului 2017, asociația are o conducere și o echipă nouă și este deja vizibilă în comunitatea din Ferentari și în zona minorităților sexuale, prin intermediul președintei și membrilor săi activi, care au avut activități susținute în ultimii ani în domeniul organizării comunitare, educației non-formale și domeniul editorial specializat.
În anul 2018, Asociația easyECO derulează noi proiecte: POLEIS – Joc de educație civică, Sistem ca pe Ferentari – ediția a III-a, Centrul de Bine – POP-UP Ferentari.
În anul 2021, easyECO a demarat proiectul INTERSECT – Centrul Comunitar Intersecțional, derulat de în parteneriat cu Asociatia E-Romnja, pentru care beneficiază de o finanțare în valoare de 249.917 euro, prin programul Active Citizens Fund România, finanțat de Islanda, Liechtenstein și Norvegia prin Granturile SEE 2014-2021.
Din anul 2022, easyECO a inclus în rândurile beneficiarilor săi femeile rome refugiate din Ucraina, prin proiectele INTERSECT COMMUNITY CENTRE – A SAFE SPACE FOR ALL și ROLE – Ukrainian Roma Women Leaders’ Network.
easyECO Association gathers members with 8+ years of experience in project management, with experience in running a Roma community center in one of the most disadvantaged neighborhoods in Bucharest (Ferentari). Our main experience is in promoting women’s, Roma and LGBTIQ+ rights with special focus on non-formal education and cultural articulations.

BeWell community center – consists in a center in Ferentari where people can get information on mental health subjects and benefit from free 1 to 1 sessions with psychologists, group support & workshops for youths regarding mental health education, as well as substance abuse prevention.
Poleis – open source online based game that helps students grapple with government and learn their rights as human beings and citizens. It’s through politics that power gets distributed, and if students are to fight for social change and make a better world, they need to understand how different governments function, the rights granted to their citizens, and how people can influence them.
We also intend to continue in 2019 with the fourth edition of the community festival „Sistem ca pe Ferentari”, taking place in September in Aleea Livezilor Park (Ferentari, Bucharest). The festival includes a concert with Roma musicians, as well as art workshops for young people in the neighbourhood (music, theatre, visual arts) with different themes – such as life in Ferentari, substance abuse prevention etc.
In 2021, easyECO started the INTERSECT – Intersectional Community Center project, carried out in partnership with the E-Romnja Association, for which it benefits from funding in the amount of 249,917 euros, through the Active Citizens Fund Romania program, financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021.
From 2022, easyECO included among its beneficiaries Roma women refugees from Ukraine, through the projects INTERSECT COMMUNITY CENTRE – A SAFE SPACE FOR ALL and ROLE – Ukrainian Roma Women Leaders’ Network.
